I have a book filled with charts of numbers, and a few vague directions, and four skeins of inexpensive yarn. I have this outrageous idea that there is simply not enough stress in my life, so I am going to design and knit my own navy-blue sweater vest to wear with my uniform. (It's not stressful enough, I have to knit on a DARK color!).
I will post pictures from time to time of the sorry mess, and with any luck, I will actually create something that is wearable!
More to come.
Have you always been a knitter? I love that you actually commit to projects, whereas I see tons I would like to try but never get around to doing, perhaps when I no longer have toddlers :) Thanks for blogging :)
ReplyDeleteI have a neat pattern for a patchwork vest that uses many different stitches to get texture if you want me to bring it to you.
ReplyDeleteI have always done a fair amount of needle craft - knitting, crochet, needlepoint and sewing. And my temperament requires me to finish them, which tends to lessen my stress, Currently, I have three projects "on the needles", so I can switch around and stay interested. When my kids were home, I was a stay-at-home mom, so they learned along-side me!
ReplyDeleteSo fun and great idea about having multiple projects going... I grew up going cross stich with my mom. I crocheted a few times but made tons of cross stiched things.
ReplyDeleteSo NOW, it is time to learn to knit. There is a new wave of popularity regarding the skill. By the way, who IS this?
ReplyDeleteMichelle, Simon's wife - sorry, my ID is not very obvious :)
ReplyDeleteI tried to follow your link to see if you were a mad stalker, but for some reason, it wouldn't go! So happy to connect!
ReplyDeleteA crazy about crafting stalker - that would be a mad person indeed! Here's a link to me: ememby.wordpress.com
