June projects

These are extraordinarily soft - and I tried a new heel that I found on someone's blog.  Sort of a short-row heel, but not.  ANyway, I love the way it looks and fits - not so much fabric around my instep.  Doesn't feel so sloppy.
Love the colors - too much heel and feels loose and sloppy.  Need to find someone I really like who has big feet and a birthday coming up.

The new heel again - "prit-near perfect".  These fit extraordinary and I wore them for three days in a row  - no bagginess, no smell (they are 100% wool).  Note to my friends - I do not usually wear the same socks three days in a row.  It was an experiment.

For my dental hygenist - she had these Christmas stockings and wanted the kid's names duplicate stitched on.  This was a first for me.

Still tatting and I have a new sock book arriving tomorrow with LOTS of new ideas.

My terrifying doggie

The sign on the door to my office.

The dog.  Who on earth would be afraid of a dog in a wheelchair?

Holiday Weekend "doings"

Anniversary - guess where we ate?

So you start with some store-bought hankies and a little thread...

And a VERYskinny needle....

...and you end up with some lovely old-fashioned tatted hankies.  "Something borrowed, something blue".

I'm now working on this one - I'm not a purple person, but I really like it.

I thought this one would be too "busy", and although it's not my favorite, now that it's blocked and ironed, I kind of like it.
